The Whitley 6 light saloon was the last variant of the model range and as a result was possibly the best car available at the time. The roof of the 6 light was extended backwards and given a slightly razor edged look, the rear seat passengers also benefitted from the addition of side windows behind the backdoors, hence the name 6 light. The rear seat was also moved backwards to give the passengers even more leg room. Only 274 of this model were produced before Armstrong Siddeley moved onto an entirely new model range the Saphire range.
The 7 years of developement that led to the production of the Whitley 6 light have resulted in an exceptionally fine motor car. Due to the very small number originally produced now a very rare car indeed, making this the ideal car for someone who is looking for something that is different yet stylish
